After the home renovations were complete in the Spring, we began looking for a new home in the area. We needed something that would accommodate four full-sized “adults” and all their stuff not to mention my husbands never-ending fascination with acquiring cars. Quite accidentally I found an awesome realtor, Lucine Tarman, as I was perusing through local homes for sale on Zillow.com (a favorite past time). We ended up having a lovely conversation and the rest was history.
September 5
We began looking in late April and in between “life” we finally found our new home on September 5. Quite coincidently that date is my Mother’s birthday and it was the same day that we adopted Bella, our beloved dog, 10 years prior! September 5 was also the day we found our Troy home in 2004! Talk about synchronicity!!!
By this time Bharat was sick and tired of the entire process, so I went by myself with Lucine. The moment we drove up in the circular driveway, I had a feeling it would be the one. As she opened the front door, I immediately fell in love. As we walked around I was in awe of the interior; the finishes, the beauty, and the expansiveness. The overall feeling I had within was magical. The icing on the cake was the incredibly beautiful backyard. I am a nature lover and it was very important that our new home had a place where I could sit outside and reconnect with my soul. As we walked around outside, just past the driveway I spotted a beautiful giant Turkey feather! It was as if the universe was saying, “Welcome Home”.

On another synchronous note, Bridget Saraka had done a home clearing for us in Troy only a few weeks prior. I had also purchased a small statue of Saint Joseph, Patron Saint of “real estate”. It is said if you bury Saint Joseph in your yard upside down, and pray to him, he will bring you assistance when buying and selling a home. So, I buried him in the ground upside down, and lo and behold, a few weeks later my dream home was brought to us! Thank you Saint Joseph!! We moved on October 22nd, almost the exact date we had moved into our previous home 17 years prior!!!
Once the documents were all signed and we were good to go, I remember sitting alone in the kitchen, tears streaming down my face in amazing gratitude for my husband and the universe for conspiring to make my dream a reality. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
